As a Licensed Addiction Counselor with the ND Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, you will work with a multi-disciplinary team to conduct assessments and referrals, facilitate evidence-based programming and individual counseling, provide case management, crisis intervention, and group therapeutic counseling services to individuals, families, and clients at our correctional facilities. These services include the assessment and treatment of complex cases such as mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.

Minimum Qualifications

Addiction Counselor I - Requires a bachelor's degree in Addiction Counseling, Addiction Studies, Social Work, Counseling or Psychology, AND current licensure as an Addiction Counselor by the North Dakota Board of Addiction Counseling Examiners. Starting Salary: $6,067Addiction Counselor II - Requires a bachelor's degree in Addiction Counseling, Addiction Studies, Social Work, Counseling or Psychology, Licensure as an Addiction Counselor (LAC) by the ND Board of Addition Counseling Examiners, and Two years of experience as a Licensed Addiction Counselor. A Master's Degree in one of the majors listed above will substitute for one year of experience. This position provides legal and litigation services to the Attorney General and Medicaid Fraud Control Unit regarding Medicaid provider billing fraud and patient abuse/neglect in settings with a Medicaid nexus. The position requires skills in both civil and criminal litigation. The successful candidate for this position will work as a member of an interdisciplinary team of investigative agents, auditors, nurse auditor/investigator, and attorneys, seeking civil remedies such as financial restitution and penalties, divestment or forfeiture, and exclusions from the Medicaid system and criminal charges. The successful candidate for this position should have sound legal judgment, strong research and analysis skills, and the ability to understand and communicate complex information and legal issues. The Assistant Attorney General serving in this position will consult with investigators and analysts, review evidence, prepare and file civil and criminal actions in the appropriate court, conduct discovery, draft and respond to motions and other court filings, attend hearings, negotiate settlements, and take matters to trial as needed. The attorney accepting this position must maintain the integrity of the Attorney General's Office, as well as the confidentiality of information as required by the North Dakota Office of Attorney General. In-state travel, including some over-night travel, is expected. Also, out of state training opportunities will be available. Will also perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Division Director, including travel or overtime as required by the position. Both in state and out of state training opportunities will be available. In addition to the monthly salary, this position includes fully paid health insurance for employee and family, the option to participate in employee-paid dental and vision for employee and family, participation in the state NDPERS defined contribution retirement plan as well as the option to participate in the 457 deferred compensation plan, the option to contribute to a medical spending account, and earning annual and sick leave. Employees in this position are eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program. This is an in-person position located in Bismarck, ND.

The Construction Crew Lead will oversee the DWR's Construction Crew which includes two full-time employees. The Construction Crew Lead is a member of the Design and Construction Section of the Water Development Division.The Construction Crew completes repairs and modifications to DWR, state agency, and political subdivision owned projects. Examples of projects completed by the Crew include: repair of principal spillway at Blacktail Dam, replacement of low-level valve actuator at Mt. Carmel Dam and Fish Creek dams, repair of trash rack at Square Butte dam, repairs to USGS gage sites, and repairs to project features on the state-owned Devils Lake Outlets. The Crew also helps with emergency flood response and occasionally the inspection of dams. Frequent overnight travel is expected during construction season, typically 3 nights per week (four 10+ hour days Monday through Thursday and sometimes Friday).

Minimum Qualifications

Requires six years of construction experience, and an associates' degree in a related field. In lieu of associates' degree, experience may be substituted on a year for year basis up to two years. Overall experience must include: Operating heavy equipment. *Vocational training for heavy construction equipment operation or a related field reflecting the required abilities for the position may be substituted for the required work experience on a year-for year basis up to two years. Experience on civil construction projects, including at least five years work experience on infrastructure related construction projects. Experience in mechanical work, welding, carpentry, and construction work.Ability to lead and direct a team on a variety of construction projects. A valid Class A commercial driver's license with air brake endorsement or ability to obtain it within 6 months of employment.Strong interpersonal and verbal skills.Ability and willingness to travel throughout North Dakota.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with survey methods and procedures. Experience with construction of water resource projects.
